The Prime Minister inspects the Samsung Electronics factory complex in the Kom Abu Radi industrial zone in Beni Suef

During his visit today to the Kom Abu Radi industrial zone in Beni Suef Governorate, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and his entourage inspected the factory complex of the Samsung Electronics Company – Egypt.

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, confirmed that this edifice enhances Egypt’s “Digital Strategy,” as the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology works to create an environment and business climate for the electronics industry, and encourage investment in Egypt, by managing negotiations with international companies and identifying their needs. And promoting the competitive elements, advantages and customs exemptions provided by the government to stimulate and attract international companies specialized in the mobile phone and smart device industry.

Mr. Jun Soo Jung added; The current production capacity of the factory complex amounts to 6 million units annually, including televisions, mobile phones, and tablets. The total investments in the Samsung Beni Suef factory amounted to more than $700 million, and $85 million was pumped from 2022 to 2024 to invest in manufacturing Mobile and tablet devices.

The Chairman of the Factory Board of Directors pointed out: Samsung is looking forward to making Egypt a regional center for production and export, serving the Middle East, Europe and Africa, explaining that the Samsung factory in Built 85% of its production of television screens to more than 55 countries, and Samsung has been in first place since 2015 until Now in engineering sector exports.

Mr. Jun Soo-jung pointed out that “Samsung” has provided new job opportunities in Beni Suef Governorate, where it currently employs about 5,000 workers directly or indirectly, most of whom are residents of Upper Egypt, stressing that “Samsung” workers are receiving training courses. Specialized training takes place in many of the company’s factories around the world, including South Korea, Russia, Hungary and Malaysia, and training is carried out in accordance with international standards to ensure the highest quality in production.

The Prime Minister’s tour included a visit to a television production factory. He listened to an explanation from Engineer Hadi Barakat, Production Manager at Samsung, while passing through the board manufacturing line, the plastic injection line, the mold maintenance center, and the final assembly line, arriving at a product exhibition, where an explanation was given about the company’s efforts in providing logistical services. And storage in an automated way, which saves effort and time, and spares workers from health risks resulting from storage operations, in order to preserve their safety. The idea of ​​an “application” that works through Samsung devices, connecting various home appliances, was also presented. .
The latest Samsung releases, which are manufactured at the Beni Suef factory, were also reviewed, which is a TV with 98-inch QLED 8K specifications and has a resolution and clarity of 33 million pixels, and is supported by a Quantum Processor 8K in addition to producing artificial intelligence technologies, Google Assistant and Alexa.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, also visited the mobile and tablet factory. By passing through the mobile phone and tablet manufacturing lines, arriving to see an exhibition of products, Mr. Jun Soo Jung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Samsung Egypt Factory, explained that the Samsung mobile phone factory in Beni Suef alone accommodates about 1,400 workers from the company’s workforce, directly or indirectly.
