Today, Telecom Egypt, the leading company in providing communications and information technology services in Egypt, announced a new partnership with the international company Nokia to provide data services using fifth generation technology in Egypt. The cooperation aims to revolutionize the field of communications in the country by introducing fifth-generation mobile phone technology in a number of major cities: Giza, Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria. Nokia will provide the integrated devices necessary to provide these services, which will ensure an exceptional experience for Telecom Egypt customers, including access to higher speeds, greater capacities, and better quality of data services, and the services will be launched later this year.
Under this agreement, Nokia will deploy its most advanced 5G availability network equipment in the industry, consisting of baseband units and the latest generation of wireless antenna devices. This is based on energy-saving technical solutions, which provide wide-ranging capacity and coverage for the fifth generation, in addition to facilitating the deployment and installation of station devices. Nokia will also provide a range of technical support services, including installation, integration and network efficiency services.
5G technology will provide many advantages and opportunities, including increased capacities that ensure seamless connectivity in densely populated areas. All of this will contribute to enhancing innovation and raising efficiency across the various sectors of the economy in an unprecedented way, enabling customers to keep pace with the rapid digital development that the world is currently witnessing.
