Regarding what the international media reported about the disruption of some airports and other services in Europe and North America.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology confirmed that the Arab Republic of Egypt was not affected by the technical failure that occurred in one of the cybersecurity systems (crowd strike) operating on cloud computing systems as a result of carrying out some technical modernization work.
And that all Egyptian airports and ports, banking services on all government banks, mobile banking services, the government services platform, and communications systems and networks within the Arab Republic of Egypt are operating normally.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology followed up on the situation as soon as it occurred. The Ministry emphasizes that it will follow up on the matter through the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the work team of the National Center for Preparedness for Computer and Network Emergencies, moment by moment, until the global problem ends.
