The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat headed today to Beijing, China, to participate in the Forum on China-Africa Digital Cooperation. Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China, the two-day event is part of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
The event will bring together several ministers, government officials from various African countries involved in digital development and ICT fields, and senior representatives from the African Union Commission (AUC).
At the event, the ICT Minister is due to present an overview of the current digital cooperation among Egypt, China, and African countries and propose future collaborative plans.
Talaat’s visit to China will also feature various meetings in Shenzhen over two days with officials from leading ICT multinationals. The meetings aim to explore potential collaboration and investment opportunities in related fields.
It is worth noting that the Forum on China-Africa Digital Cooperation provides a platform for sharing expertise and best practices on digital development strategies and ICT fields, including digital infrastructure and technologies, innovation, digital transformation, and digital capacity building.
