Eng. The Minister of Housing, welcomed the chairmen of the Board of Trustees in the new cities, stressing that the Ministry provides full support to the Board of trustees in order to serve the citizens of the new cities, that the Board of Trustee is a major partner in the development of new cities, and one of the arms that helps the new cities agencies to realize and meet the ambitions and aspirations of the residents of these cities, through Receiving the voices of citizens and their requests to the devices of the cities and helping them meet them.
The minister pointed out that there are many files aimed at achieving in the new cities in the next period, which is a great opportunity to deepen and promote cooperation between the agencies and the boards of trustees, and on top of these files, work to maximize the financial resources of the new cities, including the resources of the boards of trustee, through constructive and unconventional ideas, and finding solutions Out of the box to overcome obstacles and problems, ensure sustainability of development and service delivery to residents of new cities.
Engineer Sharif Al-Sherbini emphasized the necessity to work with a new and different idea in the boards of trustees, strengthening its role in the development process of new cities, continuous and effective communication with the residents, transfer the full picture of what achievements and projects are being carried out for their benefit, involving them in achieving the development goals, and bear their responsibilities towards their cities, which strengthens the connection of the residents with their cities, greatly There is a necessity for constructive communication between Boards of Trustees, representatives of ministries and governmental entities, and they should attend council meetings to inform them about citizens’ problems and needs.
The Minister directed the formation of a committee chaired by the Vice President of the New Urban Society Authority for the Development and Development Sector of Cities, the members of the Board of Trustees in the new cities or their representatives, the heads of city agencies or their deputies, and specialists from the body, to discuss and propose all the problems in each city in detail, and to work between the body, city authorities and councils Trustees to solve it, exchange experiences and experiences between cities and some, prepare a monthly report to be presented to the minister on actions taken, patrol meetings will also be held with boards of trustees and in the presence of heads of agencies, to push development rates and achieve the interest of citizens in new cities.
