ICT Minister Heads to Serbia to Discuss Collaboration in ICT
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat headed, today, to Belgrade, Serbia, on a three-day visit. He is due to meet with ministers, government officials, and representatives from universities, R&D centers, and Serbian companies to discuss fostering cooperation and sharing expertise in ICTs and investment attraction.
Talaat’s visit comes in response to an invitation extended from the Serbian Minister of Information and Telecommunications and the Serbian Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation. The goal is to explore closely the Serbian ICT sector and the efforts to promote technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
The visit also aims to advance efforts to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked by the two countries during the Serbian President’s visit to Egypt last July. The MoU focuses on boosting cooperation in key areas, such as digital transformation, offshoring, and knowledge exchange in building technology parks.
Furthermore, the visit aims to bolster investment opportunities between the two countries by attracting Serbian ICT companies to invest in Egypt.
