The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has introduced a new digital platform designed to enhance communication with beneficiaries of the Universal Health Insurance System (UHIS), reinforcing ongoing efforts to drive digital transformation within the healthcare sector.
The platform was officially unveiled during a session titled “Leveraging Digital Transformation to Optimize Strategic Procurement and Elevate Healthcare Value,” held as part of the Universal Health Insurance Authority (UHIA) Forum on February 9 in the New Administrative Capital. Under the theme “Sustainable Universal Health Coverage for All: Pioneering Private Investment for Sustainable Universal Health Coverage,” the Forum underscored Egypt’s commitment to ensuring health equity for all citizens while strengthening public-private partnerships to achieve comprehensive and sustainable health coverage.
The platform offers a range of services to users, including booking outpatient clinic appointments at primary healthcare facilities, receiving appointment reminders, canceling or rescheduling visits, and accessing their medical records alongside past visit details.
Furthermore, users can, through the platform, review health summaries, diagnoses, and allergy information; access lab test results and radiology reports; check prescribed medications; and book appointments for minor family members.
