The Minister of Communications opens the Ismailia Post Office building

Today, Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held a meeting with Major General Sherif Fahmy Bishara, Governor of Ismailia, at the governorate’s general office. During which, the developments in work were discussed in a number of projects implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the governorate, the most prominent of which are related to the areas of digital transformation and digital infrastructure development, in addition to the projects implemented by the ministry in the villages of a decent life in the governorate.

Dr. Amr Talaat and Major General Sherif Fahmy Bishara also inaugurated the Ismailia Post Office building and the main Ismailia Post Office after developing them and providing them with the latest technological solutions and systems as part of the efforts made to develop the Egyptian Post and raise the efficiency of its branches nationwide. To provide all integrated governmental, postal and financial services and Egypt’s digital services in a distinguished manner to citizens in all governorates. They were received by Mr. Abdo Alwan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority for postal district affairs.

The Ismailia Post Office building consists of five floors, which includes all the administrative, logistical and service works of the Ismailia District. It includes a traffic center, a main treasury, and administrative offices, in addition to the main Ismailia post office on the ground floor.
The opening of the main Ismailia Post Office and the Ismailia Post District building comes within the framework of the National Postal Authority’s plan to develop post offices and improve the work environment in all offices and administrative buildings in all governorates across the Republic, and transform them into advanced outlets that provide all the integrated governmental, postal and financial services that citizens need in a civilized and appropriate manner. Citizens throughout the Republic, relying on the latest advanced technological systems and solutions; And workers trained at the highest professional level to ensure the quality and efficiency of all services provided to citizens.During his tour inside the main Ismailia Post Office, an open dialogue took place between Dr. Amr Talaat and a number of citizens present inside the office. Dr. Amr Talaat inquired about their opinions about the quality of the services provided to them, and listened to their suggestions about further development.

Dr. Amr Talaat also spoke with the workers and praised their efforts. He called on them to make every effort to provide services to citizens efficiently and easily.

The main Ismailia Post Office provides citizens with many services, such as “disbursing pensions, paying traffic fines,” in addition to current accounts, local and international transfers, civil status services, correspondence and parcel services, and express mail, as well as paying electricity, water, and gas bills, and postal savings services. Landline phone bill payment service. The office is equipped with two automated teller machines (ATMs) that operate 24 hours a day, and is also equipped with the latest surveillance systems, fire and theft alarms, and UPS devices.

The number of post offices in the Ismailia postal area reaches 57 post offices. 42 post offices have been developed, including 4 post offices within the Decent Life initiative, which have been fully developed, and the rest of the region’s offices are being developed.

In a related context; Dr. Amr Talaat and Major General Sherif Fahmy Bishara made an inspection visit to the Telecom Egypt customer service center in the Sultan Hussein area, which provides services to more than 28,625 customers. They were received by Engineer Mohamed Nasr, Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt.

Engineer Mohamed Nasr explained that Telecom Egypt is keen to keep pace with the rapid changes in customer needs and the development of their requirements, and always seeks to provide innovative services, improve customer experience, and maintain its leadership in the Egyptian telecommunications market. He also emphasized the company’s keenness to listen directly from colleagues in locations spread throughout Republic to ensure continuous improvement in the level of services provided.

The services provided by the Sultan Hussein Customer Service Center include all integrated communications services, including landlines, mobile lines, and home Internet services, in addition to real estate registration and documentation services provided by Telecom Egypt in a number of its customer service centers since 2022, in order to facilitate… Citizens wishing to obtain these services, in line with digital transformation plans and developing and improving the level of the system of services provided to citizens in various sectors. The center also provides the service of receiving tickets for the Egyptian General League matches in cooperation with “Tazkarti Company” after booking them on the website designated for that purpose.
