The Prime Minister is following up on the position of payment of electricity dues to ministries and government agencies

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting to follow up on the position of paying the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company’s dues to a number of different ministries and government agencies, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, Minister of Civil Aviation, Major General Mohamed Salah El-Din, Minister of State for Military Production, and Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, Mr. Ahmed Kajouk, Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Policies, Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing for Infrastructure Affairs, Engineer Raafat Hindi, Deputy Minister of Communications for Infrastructure Affairs, and Dr. Nahed Youssef, Head of the Authority. Industrial development, officials of ministries and concerned authorities.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister indicated that within the framework of the government’s efforts to pay the dues of the service agencies in the various ministries and government institutions, this meeting comes with the aim of paying the electricity dues, especially since the previous period witnessed several meetings to work on paying the dues of the Ministry of Petroleum, adding Indeed, several ministries and government agencies have paid their debts and dues to the Ministry of Petroleum, led by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

At the same time, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed the need to make maximum efforts to stop stealthy connections and collect the due bills.

During the meeting, the Minister of Electricity reviewed the total debts owed to the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company by ministries and government agencies, and the relevant ministers and officials commented on the details of the dues that were paid, as well as the plan of these ministries and agencies to complete the payment of their arrears.
