Mohamed Fouad, Head of the Electronic Payment and Collection Unit of the Ministry of Finance, said that the value of collection through the government’s electronic payment portal on the Internet during the period from July 2023 to May 2024 witnessed a growth of 78%, reaching more than one billion pounds, compared to 600 million pounds. For the same period of the last fiscal year, there is a significant expansion in electronic collection services through collection companies integrated with the government electronic payment and collection center, which achieved an increase of 51%, bringing the value of its government receipts to about 1.9 billion pounds, compared to 1.2 billion pounds. pounds for the same period of the previous fiscal year.
