Arsene Tomsky, founder and CEO of InDrive, expressed his happiness at being present for the first time in Cairo. This came during his speech at the press conference held yesterday, Wednesday, to talk about the exceptional story of the establishment of InDrive, noting that Egypt is among the top 6 countries in the region in terms of profitability for the international company. It currently accounts for 40% of the smart transportation services market in Egypt.

Tomsky also pointed out that one of the company’s goals is to have a positive impact on the lives of at least a billion people by 2030 because this is the basic pillar of InDrive, pointing out that there are competing companies that manipulate trip prices, by doubling the price of the trip in some cases. times, which cannot be followed in InDrive.

Tomsky pointed out that the company receives a commission not exceeding 10% plus the value of the added tax, adding that the company is fighting injustice as much as possible, and in the coming period there will be more initiatives by the company in Egypt, other than the current initiatives, to serve the Egyptians.

Tomsky pointed out that 10% of the company’s annual profits are allocated to the initiatives adopted by the company, and there is a plan during the next five years to finance new initiatives, 50% with self-financing, and 50% with funding from the company’s profits.

Tomsky added that he does not have luxurious tangible assets. The most valuable thing he owns is his computer. For example, he does not have a luxurious building or a luxury car, and he will spend most of his wealth on projects that serve the world.

Tomsky added that investment is currently being made by supporting startup companies. An initiative has been launched specifically specializing in supporting startup companies in the technological field, and an attempt to support female entrepreneurs in the field of technology companies through the “Aurora Tech” award because they do not have the same opportunities as men by offering… They have financial support, and there is another initiative to support and develop technology companies that are located in marginalized areas or do not have the same resources available to other companies, such as the “Under Dog” award. In the last competition, only 120 applications from Egypt reached InDrive, and some applications from Egyptians were advanced to the finals. He also pointed to another sports initiative for children in small cities to try to support them.

Tomxy explained that the focus is on the sport of football, purchasing sports equipment and contracting with trainers to train children in an atmosphere full of love and cooperation, and this is already happening in small cities in Egypt, adding that there is currently an entertaining celebration in Egypt with the attendance of 200 participants, in addition to supporting competitions that achieve success. Inclusion and presence for women and people of determination.

Tomsky stressed that he could not accept a partnership with Uber because it is capitalism and monopoly is logical, and therefore it follows a policy of unfairness and injustice.

For his part, Ilya Guzakov, business manager for InDrive in Africa and the Middle East, said that in Egypt, work is being done to increase partnerships with various parties. The primary goal is to support emerging companies, so the focus is on local companies and communities to help them develop through InDrive.

Moataz Touba, business development representative for indDrive in Egypt, pointed out that the safety element is one of the company’s most important priorities, as drivers are hired after verifying the integrity of their papers, such as the criminal record, and reviewing user reviews of the drivers.
